Abstract:
This study containes the extraction and detection some of active compounds in the leaves of Eriobotrya japonica L. and testing the activity of crude extract as an antibacterial and food preservation. Methnol was used in crude extraction and also CC , TLC ,HPLC techniques were used in qultitive and quantative amount of some flavonoid ,terprnoid and phenolic compound .The well in agar to study the effect of crude on Staphylococcus aurus , Escherichia coli , Salmonella typhmurium bacteria in 200 ,100, 50 and 25 mg /ml concentrations , In addition to study of effect of the extraction on meat at 200 mg /ml concentration . The ruselts show that Alcholic crude extract contains flavonoid ,terprnoid and phenolic compounds and the chlororform was the best solvent in separating those compounds . Through the use TLC and HPLC , it was possible to separate terpenoids (Oleanolic acid , ursolic acid , maslinic acid) , flavonoids (Qurcetin, Kaempferol ,Rutine ) and phenolic compounds (Benzoic acid ,caffeic acid ,chlorogenic acid). The results show the high activity of leaves crude extract of Eriobotrya japonica L . in 200 mg /ml concentrationthat is used as a food preservation in minced beef meat. The results also show significant differences at (P<0.05) in Thiobarbutric acid ,Total violate nitrogen measurement ,total bacterial account , and psychrotrophic bacteria account ,AS for the value of PH was governor compared with standard control. The concentrations of cruds extract showed an Antibacterial activity where Staphylococcus aureus where 15 and 26 mm by using 100 and 200 mg/ ml concetrations respectively .furthermore,The crude extractshowed an efficiency as antibacterial agains Escherichia coli with 13and 15mm inhabition zone ; and also Salmonella typhmurium with 14 and 19mm inhabition zone by using 100 and 200 mg / ml concentration , respectively compared with standard control . The ruselts show that minimum inhibitory concentration of the cruds extract agains Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , Salmonella typhmurium bacteria was 100 mg / ml compared with standard control .
