Abstract: This thesis applies the modern narrative technique , linguistic narratology , to analiyze thenarrative structure of Bint AL - HUD A stories • linguistic narratology, represented byRonald Barthes, Gerard Genettee and Tsvetan Todora , concerns with linguistic aspects ofnarrative discourse : narrator ,techniques narration ,and the relationship between narrator•, narrate and discourse • where as semantic narratology ,represnted by Vladimir prop andGreimas , concerns wuth the content of narrative acts rather than the narration ,for itattempts to discover the logic of acts succession.The narrative structure of discourse is formulated of three parts (Narrator, Narratee,discourse) what is being narrated).The thesis is of introduction , three chapters and conclusion..The first chapter steidies the nattator, for it is considered the core of narration.. thischapter is of three sections ,plus theoretical Introduction. the theoretical introductionanalyizes the relation between narrator, author, and the implied reader •• while the firstsection studies the relation between narrator and narration •. this section is divided in totwo parts : 1 - The undramatized narrator.2 - The dramatized narrator.The research do not refer to semi - dramatized narrator , for the research did not it in theauthor stories •..The second section studies the narrator location , and the third section studies thenarrators functions.••The second chapter studies the narrate , which represents the second aspect of narrativestructure.This chapter is of three section : 1 - The narrate and his importance in narrative structnre.2 - The form and location of the narrate.3 - The fnnctions of the narrate.The third chapter studies the discourse (what is being narrated ), Which represents thethird aspect of the narrative strncture •.This chapter is of three sections : 1 - The character ,its types and way of representation.2 - The action , its importance and action building systems.3 - The time and place of narrative setting.
