Abstract:
The present study comes in two main parts proceeded by an introduction and prelusion. Each part of the study basically consist of three chapters. The prelusion provides a broad identification of Al - Qurtubi lists his prominent teachers and students among whom Al - Qurtubi of the interpretation of Al - ajami LiAhkam Al - Quran , and values the book of Al - Mufhim among the interpretations of the authentic sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) .The first chapter falls into two sections, the first presents the main sources and references of Al - Qurtubi along with his well - known scholars whose views have not been fully investigated in their books. It is evident that the two most common scholars in the book of Al - Mufhim are Al - Hurawi and Al - Jawhari. The second section deals with the auditory sources of language based mainly on the Holly Quran and its readings, the authentic sayings, and the prose and poetry of the Arabs.Entitled “Linguistic - Semantic Researches”, the second consists of three sections; the first presents types of semantic refrences, i.e. phonetic, linguistic, figurative, and Islamic, the second deals with the semantic contexts which are the contextual, mental, and time reference, and the third tachles the semantic relations between texemes such as shared meanings, opposition, synonymy, trileterals, dileterals, etc. The third chapter picture the non - semantic researches of the language throughout three sections : The first carries he title of the “Linguistic Derivation “ in which Al - Qurtubi clarifies that Perception is the true origin from which the lexical meaning is derived, the second presents the dialects in terms of three levels, i.e. phonetics, structures, and forms, the third deals with the linguistic reform and Al - Qurtubi has noticeable standpoints in this failed.The second part of the study illustrates Al - Qurtubi great efforts in the faileds of grammar and syntax throughout three chapters. The first chapter has two sections under the titles. The Factors and causes “end” The Syntactic Aspects including nouns, verbs, and letters rather than viewing Al - Qurtubi’s valuable efforts to link syntax with meaning. The second chapter shows Al - Qurtubi’s endeavors in the field of grammatical interpretations along five sections namely, Implication, changing to final or initial positions, elision, addition, and finally polysemy. Furthermore, Al - Qurtubi’s approach can be regarded as selective, adopting Basra’s approach in one time and Koffa’s one in another.The second part of the study ends with the third chapter which comes in two sections dealing with syntactic researchers. In the first section, Al - Qurtubi interest in directing the syntactic form of the middle letter of the triliteral verbs refering to the syntactic origin to which it belongs and directing the meanings of the offixed and suffixed verb as well as sources and derivations, the second are all revealed. The second section entails Al - Qurtubi’s efforts in a verity of syntactic fields such as assimilation and substitution.Finally, the study concludes with the most important finding reached of work.
