Abstract:
The Iraqi pioneers poets (Al - Sayyab , Al - Bayati , Nazik Al - Malaika , and Al - Haidari) affected by symbolism that linked at that period to the West and found its reaction at Arab Mation , including Iraq , They used a symbol of childhood in their poetry, There was differences among poet's childhood and as a result each poet influenceel with circumstance , where he live : for example AL - Sayab who lived in countryside and lost his mother at age of four or six his poetry connected with a losting mum and paradise , on the other hand AL - Bayati covered with hardness of city that lost the innocence of childhood , but Nazik her poetry represnted with the lovely life of childhood and playing on the sand also we see homelessness in AL - Haidary poens through his pesimists ponit of view for life. The poets used a symbol of childhood to fight the Authority by showing the defect of government in too ways : a - The authority shouId potect children because the represent the future. b - The children , women and old people are the weakest part in ‚me society and the cant face the cruelty of power people ‚ in my research I examined the phenomenon of at their poetry escaping from chilhood and found that their memories related with the village or city where they lived and I looked for the reasons and found they compensated their failure by looking for a period of childhood that represented for them a green oasis and beginning at the life also the study appears the capability of poets to use the childhood a symbol of diffrent meanings to show their experiences and goal in the life depending on their belief ideology ‚ their love and sacrifise for the homeland.
