This thesis is an attempt to study The Self in Pre - Idlamic Poetry Al - Silik ibn Al - Salkah and Arwa Bin Al - Ward are a model. It has com with four main sections in addition to in troduction, conclusion and results. The introduction part is dedicated to stady parallelism, properties of pre - Islamic poetry and biography of the two poets. The first section is titled "Movement of the Ego phenomenon" and devided two parts" Essence of Ego and part two is growing of Ego in Al - Salika. The second section explains manifest tations of Ego's alination by studying Breaking the Collective aGreement and Ego between coexis tence and coutrariness. In section three which titelal "Image functionsngs in creative Ego". Is included two parts the first one is stages of Image formation in creative Ego, and the second one is image functioning's in pre - Islamic poetry finally, chapter four is named" poetical creativity phenomenon" has two parts, poetical creativity of Al - Sulaik Ibn Al - Swaka and poetical creativity of urwa. Ibn Al - ward. The thesis has comeup to aconclusion wich. Summarizing the fina a cademic results
