Abstract: This study aims to identify the public relations programs and agricultural media in agricultural institutions in Iraq and their role in spreading agricultural awareness among Iraqi public. Also , to determine the level of this awareness, as well as to identify the most important means of communication and methods that creat public awareness of agricultural systems. The descriptive approach is followed In order to reach the reality of the programs and their importance in spreading agricultural awareness and highlight the means and methods used in the publication of this awareness ; As for the instruments used in this research , it has been relying on the questionnaire tool prepared by the researcher specially for this search reliance on a scale awareness to measure awareness of peasants and farmers ; The assessment of its validity was through its presentation to the committee of experts ; The researcher also depended on the interviews to know about the activities of the public relations and media at the Ministry of Agriculture in Baghdadand villages in the province of Missan , specially Kumait district , Ali AlGharbi &Kahla District. The researcher reached to the set of results which are : 1 - T.V is the most important mean that Iraqi public take agricultural awareness.2 - The number of specialists working in the field of public relations and the media are very few and that the public relations and media need specialized staff.3 - The lack of suchas agricultural versions that most of the agricultural departments stopped them agricultural magazines and adopted monthly publications.To review its own agricultural activities and events. 4 - The lack of financial allocations first reason to obstruct the work of the public relations and media programs for the agricultural activities of the media in an integrated manner The researcher gave some recommendations namely.1 - Increasing the number of professionals working in the media, especially in public relations, because the work of the public relations specialized work.2 - Personnel training in public relations and the establishment of specialized courses for them through specialized institutes and colleges in the field of public relations and media inside and outside the country.. 3 - The need for the departments of public relations and media institutions in agricultural activities to experience of communication and work to coordinate with the media and satellite channels and the use of modern techniques to properly address the audience and influence it. 4 - The granting of the field for those working in the field of public relations, agriculture and the media by senior management in the agricultural institutions to take their part in the work, creativity and involvement in the development of agricultural farm plans in order to feel their importance even after the best tender and are making more efforts in the field of agricultural work.
