Abstract: Nature of the current study involves dividing it into a preface, three chapters preceded by introduction and followed by conclusion. Each chapter has three sections. The preface is devoted to discourse analysis. First chapter treated with originating the term hidden meaning, its functions, and its purposes. The first section gives a definition for the hidden meaning and discovering instruments. The second section tackled the hidden meaning in vocabulary investigations to the jurists. The third section mentioned functions and aims of the hidden meaning. Second chapter was entitled the hidden meaning artistic instruments in Nehj Al Belagha. The first section discussed metaphor which is the hidden meaning instruments of metaphor theoretically and practically. The second section was devoted to metonymy in Nehj Al Belagha theoretically and practically. The third section was ended with the allusion in Nehj Al Belagha. Third chapter studied the hidden meaning textual instruments in Nehj Al Belagha devoting the first section to the hidden meaning commitment instruments in Nehj Al Belagha theoretically and practically. The third section was devoted to the discourse requirement that was employed in Nehj Al Belagha. These instruments were a technique to discover the philosophy of hidden meaning in Nehj Al Belagha. The adopted method in the current study is the discourse analysis method not because it is the only method, rather it was the best in tackling Nehj Al Belagha discourse for it includes all levels that belong to the linguistic system. That supported the researcher with a wide and huge space to cover all texts and their ambiguities
