Abstract:
This thesis entitled (the verses of al sabeel 'way' in the holy Quran : a analytic study) was in the first place a title preposed by the super visor , Dr. Zahida Abdullah Muhammad. Then this title became an idea and finally it turhed into an MA research. It tackles the verses of the Holy Quran where the word of Al sabeel (way) were mentioned (167) times.The choice of this topic is due to the importance of the Holy Quoran as asuorce of. All Quoran and linguistic studies for its well coined texts and the accurate choice of words and their uses in the suitable contexts. It is known that the Holy Quoran in its preposition , words , sentences and verses has been massively studied by researchers , there fore ; We preferred to focus in this research on a specific word mentioned in different contexts where the research material was distributed. The research includes a prelude where the word of Al sabeel (way) was defined linguistically and idiomatically and the difference between the word of Al sabeel and the word of Al tareeq (road) and Ah sirrat (straight way) was also mentioned and two chapyres. The first chapter entitled (Al sabeel (way) in the context of verses of the Jihad (the holy war) consist of there parts. part one tackle verses of Al sabeel within the context of the physical Jihad which treats three issues. The first issue focuses on the verses of Al sabeel within the context of the verses of Al Jihad. The second one tackles verses of Al sabeel within the context of the verses of Al Hijra (immigration). While , the third issue discusses the verses of Al sabeel within the context of the verses of fighting in association with the Hijra (immigration) part two is about the verses of Al sabeel (way) within the context of the financial Jihad while which contains two issues. The first is about the general spending. While the second one is about the verses of Al sabeel within the context of the private spending. This chapter ends in part three which discusses the verses of Al sabeel within the context of the physical Jihad in association with the financial Jihad. chapter two is entitled (Al sabeel) within the context of verses of guidance and misleading.It consists of three parts. part one tackles Al sabeel within the context of the verses of guidance. It focuses on two issues. The first issue discusses Al sabeel in the context of the verses of the materialistic guidance. While , the second issue is concerned with Al sabeel within the context of the verses of religious guidance. This issue consists of two items. The first item tackles Al sabeel within the context of the verses concerning the special religious guidance and the second item treats Al sabeel within the context of the verses of the general guidance. As for the second part , Al sabeel is discussed within the verses of the misleading. It includes two issues. The first issue tackles Al sabeel within the context of the verses concerning the misleading and the misleaders. The second issue is about Al sabeel within the context of the verses related to the punishment for misleading while the third part treats Al sabeel within the context of the verses of rejection It comprises three issues. The first is concerned with Al sabeel within the context of the verses of the disbelievers' and the hypocrites' rejection. The second issue is about Al sabeel within the context of the verses of the devils' rejection. In the third issue , Al sabeel is tackled within the context of the verses regarding the people of the verses rejection. At the end of chapter two , three is an appendix including verses mentioned together with those of chapter one. In fact , chapter one is closer to these verses therefore they are attached to it. These verses are concerned with the Islamic laws and rules which if followed, we would be then on the way of guidance ; Otherwise we would be on the way of misleading. The sources used in this research are new and old. They include interpretation books , language books and dictionaries. I would like to express my deepest gratitude and thanks to all friends of mine and the library staff who helped in this research. The findings of this research shows the following : - Most of what is said about Al sabeel (way) cam as religious not materialistic. - The word Al sabeel (way) is used in the Holy Quran to show the religious matters in materialistic way like religion , guidance and misleading. - Al sabeel (way) is mentioned as singular , plural and added , when it is singular , it refers to good and guidance. When it is plural , it refers to misleading and when it is added , it is meant to honour and glorify the word of Al sabeel. When it is added to people , it is meant to honour and glorify them. - To praise Al sabeel (way) is meant to praise its user and to censure Al tareeq (road) means to censure its user. - The word Al sabeel (way) is used more than both the of Al sirrat (the straight way) and Al tareeq (road) due to its easy letters and its form
