Abstract:
The title of the search is “News Coverage for Iraqi Political Affair at Abu Dhabi Satellite Channel” It is a surveillance study of Iraq news being presented at Al.Madar TV Program for the period between 1/9 - 31/11/2004. The idea behind this study was the processing of the news which consider Iraqi Affairs deterioration after the 3rd Gulf War in 2003 and the coverage of these news by TV channels whether local or satellite ones.The study is composed of 4main chapters; the first one deals with rich text format of the study, the second deals with the importance of the TV from political and media point of view, the third one composed of 3 section including News programs at Arabic Satellite Channels, at last the forth, which is also consisted of 3 sections, talks mainly about the news coverage for Iraqi Political Affair at Abu Dhabi SC.The main conclusions of the study are : The ability of Arabic SC to certain extent to take the Arabic citizen out of the local or regional boundaries.The ability of these SC to give the accurate information rather than getting them from western SC.The critical role of Abu Dhabi SC in showing news despite the fact that this SC is not specialist in news field.Abu Dhabi SC occupied the second sequence after the JSC in covering the 3rd Gulf War, but its role retracted just after the end of the great events.The fact that all - Arabic SC have the same policy in showing news and the great similarity between these news.At the work field, the study threw the light on the political news worldwide and these news have the priority at these SC.The news of the Gulf War was taken by analysis and extreme discussion especially the news about the middle provinces, which show high level of instability. The program depends on the Art of Report, which was supported by news analysis. In addition, Al.Madar TV program was hosting many Iraqi eminent persons.Finally, the program was depending on the compound news coverage strategy rather than mere coverage strategy, which takes the second rank. The introduction of the news text was preferred than the introduction of news reports, the searcher thinks simply because he considers that Iraq is a multi - events zone.
