Abstract:
The Present research aims to : - 1 - Constracting a semantic memory test for middle school students. 2 - Rationing memory semantic and standards derive a test. 3 - Knowing the semantic memory level of the middle school students. 5 - Knowing the significance of differences in the semantic memory, according to the variable Gender (male, female) and the branch of study (scientific, literary) and grade (fourth, fifth and sixth). The research sample consisted of 1,000 students from the junior high school the morning students were selected randomly male and female, and two branches (scientific and literary) and grades (fourth, fifth and sixth). The researcher constracting a semantic memory test, consisted as the initial of the (100), items two areas (phonetic - optical) and components (12) Created for each area (50) items and (6) components, and after extracting the psychometrre characteristics became in its final his composed of (92) each items (46) items, and substitutes and form key correction (1 - Zero). The statistical methods that had been used and the following : (Chi - square test, T - test for two independent samples, Pearson correlation coefficient, the equation of Alpha Cronbach, equation of discriminatory power, coefficient of fi direction, equation of Spearman corrective, test Altaia for one sample, analysis of Variance duo with Interaction and Regression Analysis. So a Derived test centipede ranks standards after applied to a sample of 1,000 male and female students, chosen Vandomly of the students of the preparatory stage of the Educational Directorates Baghdad. To Measure the Semantic memory, the students of the preparatory stage, the results are extracted sample derivation of the criteria and the results showed the following : 1 - The preparatory school students have a very good Semantic. 2 - There are significant differences in Semantic memory level between males and females in favor of females. 3 - There are significant differences in Semantic memory level between the Branch of scientific students and the branch literary and in favor of Branch of scientific students 4 - There are significant differences in Semantic memory level between the classroom and in favor of sixth - grade students. The researcher found a number of recommendations, including : - Guide the teacher to use Verious means and methods through offering the lesson to avoide the boring and un Consntrating. The researcher Suggest some of the suggestions also, including : - Constracting for Semantic memory test other samples, including the university students.
