Abstract:
The aim of this research is to show the level of satisfaction of patients who are suffering form chronic diseases about pharmacy department & availability of medications used in treatment of these diseases in Al - kademia teaching hospital which selected to be the place of research, so the sample of this research are patient who are suffering from chronic diseases, the availability of medication used in these disease is part of health services present to them, from the beginning of this aim we studied the patient state and pharmacist position in that researched hospital and we diagnosed all aspect that will assist us in developing tools and methods that suppose to research in it in future, from this research we put personal interview for pharmacists who are working in this hospital and chronic diseases patients (in & out patients) as we select random samples consist of (40) patients & (12) pharmacists in the hospital & we full them through the special interview with the patients & pharmacists from the researcher & then we did statistical analysis by using statistical tool (spss) to evaluate the personal characters & theories that the interview wont to show it & explain the level of satisfaction in at the hospital, the main conclusions of this research were unaccepted of whole satisfaction for chronic diseases about this hospital as the percentage of this satisfaction was (52.5 %), in addition to that the level of whole satisfaction about this will increase as the satisfaction of availability of chronic diseases medication increased, the other important conclusions from this research show that there is strong difficulties facing hospital administration & pharmacy department in achieving strategy & health policy for availability of chronic diseases medication, the research allows many recommendations the most important one is to change the place of pharmacy in the hospital to another suitable place that will achieve patient needs and reduce suffering to get the medicine in simple way, the 2nd important recommendation is to increase the financial for chronic diseases medication that allow the hospital administration to supply them in full quantity & best quality, the other recommendation in this research is to achieve suitable healtheducation of patient which play main role to get patient satisfaction.
