Abstract:
Islam is considered the last religion and the extract of the codes that Allah assigned to his creatures and Almighty Allah says : ((f anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah) never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (all spiritual good))).Islam urges the people to think and meditate all the aspects of life. It is the most comprehensive religion which deals with the political, social, economic and intellectual fields. The history of Islam, which is fourteen centuries witnessed many Islamic thinkers who had their own stamp until today. One of these prominent thinkers is professor Emad AlDeen Khaleel who is considered one of the most prominent contemporary Islamic thinkers whose thought tackled all the various aspects of life. In the political field, he had a clear attitude towards the western philosophies such as secularism, communism and modern spiritualism. In addition to that, he had an evident standpoint against the theory of the end of the history by the Japanese thinker Fukoyama.For him, the Islamism of knowledge includes the succession, exploitation balance and the connection between the creatures and the Creator.The other had a considerable share in his writings as these writings included the religion of Islam in the west point of view, the impact of the Islamic scientific miracles in the west and the influence of Islam on a number of thinkers and philosophers in the west and the dealing of Islam with other religions. In the cultural field, professor Khaleel attempted to identify the shortcomings which led to the cultural deterioration in an attempt from him to find the remedy that stops that deterioration. Moreover, the contemporary causes such as the Palestinian cause, the cause of Muslims in the former Soviet Union, the September 11th event and the American international terrorism consisted a great deal of his writings and thoughts. Professor Khaleel didn’t ignore the social aspects such as the Muslim family, woman rights, the issue of the head veil, the polygamy issue and other important issues.In the economic aspect, he emphasized the necessity of adopting the Islamic system as the solution to reform the status quo by the reliance on the interdependence, Zakat and other bases of the Islamic economy.From all what has been mentioned above, we observe that his thought is characterized by a balanced comprehensiveness that accepts the other if he was positive, and rejecting and criticizing the negative points of view. His thoughts had a great effect on a great number of Muslims all over the countries.
