Abstract: The philosophers had main role and thankful efforts in studying phonetics, it discern their early depth understanding to phonetics, and their tendency to study phonetics of their language with special concepts distinguish them from Linguistics. They mixed between phonology and philosophy; they have taken great strides in phonology physicist, their studying outcomes with results similar to the results that reached by current phonetics scientists. In this search I tried to explained points of view of al - (Farabi) and (Ikhwan al - Safa) about phonetics, through the presentation of ideas, and find out the similarities and differences in their concepts, and the approach followed by each party.This search has been divided to introduction, three chapters and Conclusion, Each chapter is divided according to number of discussion topics.The introduction : divided with two topics : a - The first topic titled (The phonic lesson for philosophers : in this topic, I explained the emergence of the phonic lesson and its beginnings, the phonic lesson has been begun early by Imam Jafar Sadiq (Alayhi Al Salam) (Dead 148 IC), he explained how phonetic is being generated and comes out, also I entioned to the most important achievements of the philosophers in The phonic lesson.b - The 2nd topic divided into tow sections, the 1st section includes (Al Farabi) birth, Upbringing, his writings, and his death date. The 2nd section talked about (Ikhwan Al Safa), date of their appearance, reason of called them (Ikhwan Al Safa), their thoughts, their philosophy and their perceptions.Cahpter one : title is (Singular phonetics) which includes three topics : 1 - (Articulatory Phonetics) : I started with this topic because It was earlier acoustic science to emerge, moreover the attention of philosophers with it, especially of them (Al Farabi) and (Ikhwan al - Safa), it includes philosopher's approach in studying the singular phoneme (not complex) according to way out of phonemes, Arabic alphabet and explain the Similarity and differences between them.2 - (Acoustic Phonetics) or can be called (Physical Phonetics) : In this topic, I offered other names to the term, moreover explain in detail the reason behind (Acoustical) term, and method of transferring the sounds according to concepts of Al - Farabi and Ikhwan Al - Safa, and recognization among phoneme source, Its elements and the intermediate carrier to the phoneme in comparing between both sides.3 - (Auditory phonetics) : this topic includes the explanation in details of hearing device, moreover the importance of perception and influences that affect it, Ikhwan al afa had multiple stops in this topic, moreover they mentioned to senses that Al - Farabi had interested to them, it is the basis of perception, the importance of the psychological aspect and its auditory impact on phoneme.Chapter two : It is titled (functional Phonology) which includes two topics : a - First topic includes (Syllabic, Accent, and Tuning); in this topic I explained the phoneme part and linkage with prosodic part.b - Second topic under title (Sounds of Arabic Language), I explained the phoneme as the smallest phonetic unit, and it's relation with Arabic sounds.Chapter three : It is titled (Relation of Phonetics with other Siences) which includes of tow topics : a - First topic under title (Relation between Phonetics and Musicology).b - Second topic is under title (Relation between Phonetics and Significance).Find a conclusion in the end which recorded the most important results that found in this research.
