Abstract:
The successful in sport is one of important measurements which show the developing of nations and countries. Because of strength admire for countries in developing and improvement so as to realization these countries to other developed countries in all fields which is one of them sport field. Because of sport starts since childhood and from primary study, so it is important to find out training and teaching strategies, methods, and styles which help to coach advanced countries.Keller’s strategy is one of self - learning strategies based on learner’s study of the learning materials according to his ability and self - fasts, thus, the principle basic of this strategy in learning is that the learner assimilates all concepts of the educational unit and its skills and mastery it before moving to next unit.Research Problem : Diversification in the educational process is necessary to increase educational experience and develop channels of skill, knowledge, psychological and social learners within the educational curriculum dedicated to learning skills and movements in different games.The researcher noted that most of the planning for the implementation of the educational unit in the gymnastic classes in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences depends on the personal experience of the teacher and explain the skill or movement contained in the curriculum in short and presented by himself, or by the model for one of the students. Whereas, theoretical aspects learning depends on diction and indoctrination, and this does not take into account their differentlevels and abilities. So the researcher used a new strategy that contributes to the achievement of knowledge and learning some of the basic skills of the gymnastic for female students.Aim of the Study : Building the test of cognitive achievement in gymnastic for female students, and also to know the impact of Keller's strategy on cognitive achievement, and knowing to the effect of Keller's strategy on learning some of the basic skills in gymnastic for second class students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.Research hypotheses : There is a positive effect of Keller's strategy on cognitive achievement and learning some of the basic skills of the gymnastic, and there is a preference for the influence between the Keller strategy and the style followed by the teacher.Methods : Researcher used experimental method for two groups (experiment and control), subject of the study included University of (Qadisiyah, Karbala and Kufa), which is 104 students for the academic year (2016 - 2017). The subject of the research standardization consisted of the second class students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences / Babylon University for the academic year (2016 - 2017) which is (27) female students, they divided into (10) students for each group moreover 10 students for pilot study which they selected by lottery.After the researcher completed the research procedures and carried out the tests for the experimental and control groups, the researcher carried out the necessary statistical treatments for theresults of the tests. Then, these results were presented, analyzed and discussed, however, based on the results of the research and analysis, the researcher concluded that the experimental group who learned according to the strategy of Keller superiority on control group, which learned according to the followed method, the results achieved by the tests proved the validity of the educational units prepared by the researcher through the clear development in performance, and increase the rate of cognitive achievement of the experimental group that used the Keller strategy compared to the control group that used the curriculum followed by the teacher. So the researcher recommended using Keller’s strategy in learning basic skills in gymnastic, and confirmation on teachers to use the Keller strategy for its benefit in developing the cognitive achievement of female students and away from the method of indoctrination, moreover, we need to carry out similar studies for Keller's strategy for other games and all classes of the study.Date\ \ 2017
