Abstract: Praise be to Allah, peace and blessings be on the Messenger Muhammad, The God of the good and virtuous and his companions Almentajabin, either : Modern linguistics and trends summons great interest in Arabic linguistic research, as we find it represented the experience of Moroccan researcher Dr. Ahmed Mutawakkil; who managed his skills synthesis (functional approach) in the study of the Arabic language, as it is based on the description of the linguistic structure and linked to the job contributed by the language in the community. His theory is emitted from the previous experience of the Dutch Scientist Simon Dick. Simon Dick's theory of the latest functional theories was a group of linguistic theories (Allagui growth), theories of adverbs, and theories of philosophy of language theory (language of verbs), as Mutawakkil stressed that functional theory is more responsive to the terms of theorizing on the one hand and the requirements of building linguistic model on the other hand. I have tried in my studies this statement, this theory, and their application to the words of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), as its origins and roots exist among the Arabs, and as Mutawakkil tried to show in the Arabic language.Perhaps the reason for choosing this subject, is my ambition to touch on and apply the theoretical bases on the words of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and the compatibility and differences. This thesis was divided according to the plan of three chapters, followed by the conclusion of each chapter separating the two sections that were entitled what is functional theory which spoke about the sponsors of this theory, introduced the term function, and how the elements dealt with this theory to describe the Arabic language from the point of view of the theorist Dr. Ahmad Mutawakkil. Then came the first chapter entitled lexical analysis, and included two sections. The first section was titled vocabulary assets, while the second section was titled vocabulary derivative. The second chapter was titled compositional analysis. It shed light on the words of Imam Hussein - peace be upon him - according to divisions in functional theory, and mentioned the function of the subject and object. He divided the class into two sections, which included the first, sentences in the words of Imam Hussein - peace be upon him, and a second section, the function of subject and object, while the third chapter was entitled deliberative analysis and included two sections. The first, deliberative functions, and the second topic entitled verbal speech and conversational implicature.
