Abstract:
The current research problem raises the question of whether there is a relationship between intellectual pollution and Ambiguous identity and Fragmentation Self at students of the University.The importance of the present research is as follows : First : the theoretical importance : This study is one of the first studies in the universities of Iraq and Arab - according to the researcher - As well as Lack of foreign study combining the current research variables - according to the researcher - This study may help in contributing to bridging the knowledge gap, and enriching the psychological library in general, the research derives its importance from the nature of the university students their influential role within the community, and their ability to build the future.Second : Practical importance : It is hoped that the current research will be an important factor in helping specialists in the psychological and social fields, Preparation of treatment guidance programs in lower the level Intellectual pollution, Ambiguous identity and the Fragmentation Self.The present research aims at : 1. Identify the Intellectual pollution at the students of Karbala University2. Identify the significant differences of the Intellectual pollution at students of the University according to (gender, specialization).3. Identify the Ambiguous identity at the students of Karbala University4. Identify the statistical significant of the differences in Ambiguous identity at students of the University according to the variables of (gender, specialization).5. Identify the Fragmentation Self of the students of Karbala University6. Identify the significant differences of the Fragmentation Self at students of Karbala University according to (gender, specialization).C7. Identify the relation between intellectual pollution and Ambiguous identity and Fragmentation Self at the students of Karbala University.8. Identifying the contribution of the variables Ambiguous identity and Self Fragmentation in the interdependent of intellectual pollution.To achieve the goals of research, the researcher to build three measures : the first to measure the Intellectual pollution, identified according to three areas : (Cognitive deviations" perceptions and feelings", Intellectual Deviations 'Values and Beliefs", Conceptual deviations 'concepts and terminology"). Consisting of (42) paragraph extracted psychometric properties of the vertebrae and the measure as a whole.The second to measure the Ambiguous identity, the researcher adopted on the theory (Marcia,1993) and identified according to five areas : (Weakness of self - directed ability, Dispersion of life philosophy, interracial religious convictions, Conflicting political ideologies, Weak professional orientation).Consisting of (44) paragraph extracted psychometric properties of the vertebrae and the measure as a whole.The third to measure the Fragmentation Self, the researcher adopted on the theory (Kohut,1977) and identified according to three areas : (Weakness of the ability to fabricate ideas, Weakness of ability to share feelings, Weakness of ability to detect behavior). Consisting of (36) paragraph extracted psychometric properties of the vertebrae and the measure as a whole.it was applied to the basic research sample of (717) student of the students of Karbala University.After data collection and statistically analyzed using the statistical package for Social Sciences, spss. The researcher used a group of statistical : (Chi - Square Test ،t - test For Two Independent Samples،Person correlation coefficient،Exploratory Factor Analysis ،Sperman Brown Prophecy Formula ، Alpha Cronbach Formula ، standard error Formula ،Mean ،Median ،Mode ،Standard Deviation ،Variance ،Skewness،Kurtosis ،DRange ،.t - test For One Sample ،Two way Anove ،Scheffe Test ،Multiple Regression analysis) Students of University have Intellectual pollution. Fined statistically significant differences in The Intellectual pollution, depending on variable of the gender. Fined statistically significant differences in The Intellectual pollution, depending on variable of the Specialization ( human, science ). Students of University have Ambiguous identity. no statistically significant differences in the Ambiguous identity, depending on variable of the gender. no statistically significant differences in the Ambiguous identity depending on variable of the Specialization ( human , science ). Students of University have Self Fragmentation. no statistically significant differences in the Self Fragmentation, depending on variable of the Specialization ( human , science ). Fined statistically significant differences in the Self Fragmentation, depending on the variables of gender Fined the positive correlative relation between intellectual pollution and Ambiguous identity and Fragmentation Self at the students of Karbala University. The results of the research showed that the ambiguous identity and self - fragmentation have a significant contribution to predicting intellectual pollution.Based on the results of the research the researcher recommended a number of recommendations and suggestions
