Abstract:
The presen study deues into the phenomenom of vroIence inUmayyad praise - poetry written by Umayad poets . This kind ofpoetry has vioent patterns that contribute in one way or another tocensuring recipients and spreading banu - umayya's ideas and plantingthem in the recipiemt's mind.This research focuses on the praisespeech of the Umayyad poets who supported the unjust umayyadauthority .They stood beside it in its violent policy.and they weremedia channels that spread the ideas of the Umayyad .they broadcastthese ideas in the mind of the recipient.In order to integrate datasurvival and hegemony of the ruler and weaken the other.oppositionand obeyed by force and coercion.The present study falls into three chapters preceded by anintroduction and followed by a conclusion .In the introduction ,theconcept g violence ,its root and its manifestatron in the poetry havebeen tackled .As for the first chapter,violence at an intellectual leuelhas been inuestigated and it involues two sectrons.The first section isabout falsifying the truth and the secord section is concerned withrepression and incitement policy. .As regard the second chater,violenc at an image Ieud has beenhanded and it also includes two sectrons.The first section deals withthe image of the authoritarian rulev and the second section isconered with the imoge of submissiue nationals.Coneerring the thirdchapder ,violence at a poetic language levd is handled and itcomprises two setions . the first section deals with the structures andvocabulary and the second one is about. .The poetry of the praising of the Umayyad rulers as written by Umayya palace poets like Alfarazdiq ,Jareer ,Alakhtal,Uday Ibn Alaraqqa …otc. .Most of the praise poems are exaggerated and invowe negatiue violen patterns. .Many kinds of sources are included in this study like old and modern critrcism books,eloquence books,history books,So ciology books,psychology books and poetic works.
