Abstract:
على الرغم من الجهود التربوية المبذولة سعيا من اجل النهوض بشخصية المتعلم بجوانبها المختلفة وبالمستوى المطلوب، الا ان المشكلات التعليمية وتباين قدرات التلامذة تحول دون الوصول الى ذلك، مما يدعو احيانا للجوء الى حلول بديلة ومساندة تسهم في محوها او التقليل من | Despite the educational Efforts exerted for raising the learner's personality with its different aspects at the required level, the learning problems and the variance of pupils' capacities prevents arriving that level, which calls sometimes for resorting to alternative and supportive solutions contribute to annihilate or decrease their impact. Considering the drawing as one of the activities that share the same general characteristics with writing which was referred to by some specialization references which conducted the researcher's attention to how to benefit from the practical end in teaching drawing and noticing its impact on treating the problems of learning writing among some learners, accordingly the present research aimed at achieving the following : - Improving the writing of the primary stage pupils through training on drawing skills. To verify the research aim, the researcher derived the following nil hypothesis : There was no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) among the scores of the experimental group in the pre and post test. The research population was composed of all fifth primary class pupils at the general directorates of Baghdad education for the academic year (2011 - 2012), as to the research sample, it was (19) male and female pupils distributed on two schools for males and females chosen within the lowest (10) scores arranged in descending after the pupils in concern were exposed to a diagnostic test and the papers were corrected according to the adopted correction form. The experimental group was submitted to a training program in the drawing skills which was confined to both planning and shadowing skills. Their training lasted according to period defined to application and finishing. Then, the researcher made the posttest and treated the data statistically using Wilcocxon test for associated pairs. The research results showed the following : - - There was statistically significant differences among the scores of both pre and post tests in favor of the posttest. As to the most important conclusions the researcher arrived at was the transmission of the training effect and its conditions had helped in using the drawing skills well in improving the writing. With respect to the conclusions the researcher arrived at, she recommends adding an appendix to the book "The Arabic Reading" at the primary stage, including the models prepared as training activities in view of the positive results they achieved in improving the pupils' writing. She also suggested conducting studies completing the current research, including the drawing skills and their effect on improving the writing of intermediate stage students.
