Abstract: This study deals with the approach of Tustery concerning the explanation of utterances in his book (Bahj Al - Sebaghedat the Explanation of Nahj Al - Balagheh).The current study aims at showing and revealing the approach used by the commentator at his explanation and processing of utterances.The study consists of an introduction stating the general frame of the subject matter in details.Then, the first chapter that consists of two sections, the first section includes the author’s life, his name, descent, birth, scientific development, brought up, scholars, immigration, scientific and religious activities, death, and his printed and hand - written works.The second section deals with the book (Bahj Al - Sebagheh at the Explanation of Nahj Al - Balagheh) in terms of the reason of using such title, reason of authorship, divisions and arrangements, way of explanation, as well as citation of texts from Nahj Al - Balagheh. The second chapter consists of two sections, the first section is dedicated to deal with the Tustery’s Approach concerning the display of utterances, methods of utterances ‘explanation, reasoning meanings and arrangements of utterances, as well as references relied upon. The second section deals with the evidences of Tustery Quranic evidences, Prose evidences, and Poetic evidences, respectively.Finally, Chapter 3 consists of two sections. The first of which is entitled “denotational connections” being dedicated for four issues; verbal common joints, oppositeness, synonymy, and the Arabized. The second section is entitled “denotational change of utterances”. It deals with the change and development of utterances’ denotations in terms of three cases; denotation generalization, denotational specification, and denotational transfer. Having passing through all that account, the conclusion comes last. It displays the most important results of the study. The current study ends with the list of references befitting the researcher during the course of study.Researcher
