Abstract:
Rhythm is one of the important pillars upon which the poetic text depends, for it justifies part of the emotional impacts which relates - by nature - tightly to the ideas and expresses them phonetically. Rhythm is a basic axis in the poetic aesthetic; it gives it the power to affect vitally. It involves a special artistic and expressive value by means of resemblance, parallelism, contradiction and differences between the different levels of the text. The effectiveness of rhythm is not confined to the two elements of meter and rhyme, but it depends on the musical rhythm of the words. Rhythm is the spirit of music and its beating heart which expresses feelings and it is a realistic translation of the poet's feelings, passions and wishes. This thesis tries to uncover the inner and outer rhythms in the poetry of Mustaffa Jamal Aldeen in terms of phonetic balances and eloquence arts which involves resemblance, parallelism, contradiction and differences. It also uncovers the extent to which the music of his poems was activated to create special rhythmic atmosphere that harmonizes with the topics of the poems. The poet, Mustaffa Jamal Aldeen, has a profound and conscious vision of the reality that he lives in, and the community to which he belongs. He rejects humiliation and submission that the nation reached at. He urges the nation to change this reality by employing all his artistic and poetic tools. He believes in the inspiring role of art in life. While forming his poetic text, he creates a poetic melody springs from the depths of his passion and feelings towards crucial issues. For that reason the poetic word has borne expressive powers and phonetic values that showed the inner feelings and passions of the poet.
